I'm interested in getting a breast lift surgery at some point soon but all of the pictures I have seen of women who've had it done show a hideous scar going from the nipple to the underside of the breast. I have an olive skin tone so I'm not sure if a scar like that would fade after a little while but I was wondering if anyone could possibly give me more information on this… thnx!
you will have some scars, however after a few years they will fade to where no one would notice them except for yourself unless if they were looking really hard..
but some spots scar more than others

In a short answer: Yes.
But there are new and advanced ways surgeons can make nearly undetecable incision lines. Try Googling "Scarless Breast Lift". They use the "keyhole" technique and it dramatically reduces the incidence of scar tissue.

You're going to have scars. How severe they are depends on a lot of things, including whether or not anything goes wrong in surgery. If you go for a consult with a plastic surgeon and ask about risks and how severe the scarring will be, he should walk you through all the things that can go wrong and show you various examples so you have a good idea of the risk. If everything goes well, you should have what they call "normal" scarring, which again, ranges.
