Durability of Saline & Silicone Breast Implants

Author: admin  /  Category: breast enlargement

Visit http://www.jrcs.com to view additional cosmetic surgery videos. In this clip, Dr. James Romanelli demonstrates how different implant types respond to punctures or tears. As you will see, the modern silicone gel implant (the Natrelle® implant), even when cut in half, maintains its shape and silicone does not leak from the implant. These implants are a popular choice for Long Island breast enlargement surgery.

Hey I just got my saline implants 3 weeks ago with dr robert rey from dr 90210 im not sure if u have seen his show or not but anyway i love my implants they are so much safer and better for you, the only thing i would of changed is the size I would have liked to get them bigger because what u see when they show u is the size but you have to take into consideration that they wil lbe put under the muscle so of course there not going to look as big as when u see the saline bags in the office

Wow i was thinking about getting saline implants until i saw this video! I guess alot of websites need to update their information on silicone gel implants because these ones seem so much safer than the old ones! Im thinking about getting implants within the next year so if anyone wants to offer advice please send me a message i would so much rather hear from real positive women rather than negative stories i hear on tv thank you!

I have had saline implants for 11 years now and had one deflate on me a week ago. I am going to have surgery to remove and replace my saline with silicone which were not available when I had them done originally. I think that I will be happier with the silicone more than I have been with the saline. It is hard to find information or other women who have had a rupture, but in a lot of ways I am happy that it happened, now I can have what I have wanted all along.

I would like to get implants.. but I’m scared of all the stories and it leeking/opening .
Also, how does it feel ?
Does it feels strange having this in your boob?

    Also, even in the …
Also, even in the unlikely event that it DOES migrate out of the implant shell….it is even more unlikely that it would migrate out of the scar shell that has formed around the implant. Even if THAT happened…silicone has been proved to have no adverse health effects on the body and therefore it would only be a messy clean up for your plastic surgeon…

  14. Hollycnwy Says:

    I seriously think …
I seriously think the manufacturers would have considered that don’t you think? There is no way your bodies normal heat level can effect the consistency of the silicone…lol

Well im sticking to the saline filled! I’ve had saline run through my veins before!

  16. kandyyredd Says:

    you guys still have …
you guys still have to understand that after that silicone implant is warmed up by body heat after a long period of time the gel will not stay in tact. In fact, the gel will turn to goo! Then what happpens if the silicone breast burst? hmm.. leak into the breast and cause little to major damage!

im really happy i watched this, im started to do all my research on different types and such. i plan to get mine done in a month or so. even though saline is turning out to be better for you, i’m probably going with the modern.

  18. XpsychoholicslagX Says:

    If you watched the …
If you watched the video or understood the molecular structure of these new implants, you would see that they retain their shape and nothing is leaked. Also, the MRIs are recommended in US, not in Europe. In fact, Europe never even saw the need to ban silicone. It’s just a special US safety precaution. You don’t actually have to get an MRI unless you suspect you may have a leak. Even then, the silicone isn’t going anywhere. Like he demonstrated, when cut even in 2 it still stays intact.

by the way i would like to state anyone who gives this a negative rating…well thumbs down!!! plastic surgery isnt all about looking like a barbie…..and i really am not concerned about anyone else’s thoughts…..so if you have had plastic surgery well kudos to you…it is a big step and it takes courage i commend you….!

  21. vanessajade2282 Says:

    well other than ppl …
well other than ppl who would want this “sticky goo” in their body for aesthetic purposes…it is ppl like you who do not realize that their are individuals who may have severe deformities and may actually need this type of surgery or any other type of cosmetic procedure just to feel normal…but then again let me not continue with my response…keep your mind closed….thank you.

  22. Plonked Says:

    This is exactly why …
This is exactly why I chose this type of implant. My CS said there is no need for me to go for a MRI unless I am in an accident. There are so many scare tacticks out there to scare us into not having silicone implants. This video was very educational. If I had saline implants and they ruptured I wouldnt have the money to go them them replaced. My new boobies cost me $10 000.

  23. pablohoneyme Says:

    How could anyone …
How could anyone put that sticky goo into their body? Remember.. that’s a brand new implant, and sitting in a sterile pan. Once it ruptures inside your body it will stick and mix with your own tissue, degrading more and more over time, and you’ll never know it unless you get an MRI. Which is why the FDA recommends anyone w/ silicone, modern or otherwise, gets and MRI every 2 years. Which, by the way, will run you around $1,200.00
